premier houseboats are pleased to present galexy, an historic ferry with enormous character, spacious accommodation and cruising capabilities. she has been used as a passenger ferry, and also as a supply ship for the radio caroline ship.
galexy was originally a ferry licensed to carry 340 people. she has been converted to a houseboat, and has immense character as well as plenty of living space. with lots of original features. the large open plan lounge area has lots of built in seating, a large wood burning stove and large windows on both sides making the lounge extremely light. there is a music room, and a good size galley area. corridor leads through to a large dining area, with large built in table housing a hatch to the downstairs area. this area can be completely opened up during warm weather including the roof.
downstairs area is open with a seated lounge area, two large double sleeping areas, as well as walk in wardrobes and plenty of storage. the engine is in good working condition.
the boat is in need of some external maintenance, and internally she could do with a refit to bring her up to date. the potential for this boat is impressive, either to keep as a cruising home or to convert fully to a large static home, and viewing is recommended.
